IDinsight’s Associates and Senior Associates are high-performing early-career professionals passionate about experiencing the front-line realities of evidence-informed decision-making. These roles provide a rich, varied experience with responsibilities ranging from client interactions and management, in-depth research and analysis, data collection management, and team building. We seek intellectually curious, resilient, and team-oriented individuals who – in addition to developing professional and technical skills – are highly motivated to grapple with the difficulties and unpredictability of trying to improve lives at scale.
Associates and Senior Associates are responsible for the following areas of work:
- Currently, we are accepting applications but not hiring immediately. This is an evergreen posting for our talent pool at IDinsight, and we review applications on a rolling basis.*
- Applying is an expression of interest in joining our talent pool for future roles at IDinsight. It is not an offer, and it does not guarantee consideration for any specific role.*
- When a suitable opening arises, shortlisted candidates from our talent pool are invited into our standard competitive hiring process alongside any new applicants. This typically includes interviews, exercises, and reference checks. Final selection is based on fit and merit as assessed through that process.*
- We keep applications on file in the talent pool for 6–12 months and reach out only when there is a specific role match.*

- Create cutting-edge AI-for-good products that make the delivery of social interventions and learning tools more cost-effective and scalable
Minimum Requirements
IDinsight Associates and Senior Associates come from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds, including economics, data science, policy research, development projects, engineering, environmental science, political science, public policy, literature and more. Given that no Associate or Senior Associate comes in with the same exact background as another, we’re typically looking for candidates with a broad range of qualifications and previous experiences. Here are some examples of the key qualifications most successful candidates should possess:
- Proficient in statistical analysis and data collection software, such as Stata, SPSS, R, SurveyCTO, and/or Open Data Kit.
- Familiarity with local context and working proficiency in the relevant local languages of the placement state or region.
Working Conditions
Our preference is for this position to be based in one of IDinsight’s country offices – *Delhi, Manila, Lusaka, Nairobi, Dakar, or Rabat*. Preference will be given to those with pre-existing work authorization in these countries; however, IDinsight will seek work permits where possible for exceptional candidates.

Sponsorship and Work Authorisation
IDinsight is able to sponsor employment visas for all nationalities in these locations; however, we will prioritize candidates who do not require IDinsight to sponsor work authorization in the aforementioned countries. All candidates who are not currently located in our country offices listed above will be expected to relocate to their office locations at the onset of their employment.
