Join Geneva Call as a MEAL Officer in Iraq to oversee and enhance monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems vital for humanitarian operations.
About the Organisation
Geneva Call is a neutral and impartial non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting respect by Armed Groups and De Facto and/or Provisional Authorities (AGDAs) for international humanitarian norms in armed conflict and other situations of violence, in particular those related to the protection of civilians. Geneva Call focuses its efforts on banning the use of anti-personnel mines, protecting children from the effects of armed conflict, prohibiting sexual violence in armed conflict, working towards the elimination of gender discrimination, protecting civilian infrastructure, and ensuring humanitarian access.

Key Responsibilities
- Propose improvements to MEAL processes and tools based on field experience.
- Support coordination with partners on MEAL-related activities.
- Support drafting of donor reports and proposals, ensuring MEAL inputs are evidence-based.
- Support the organization of learning events, workshops, or review meetings at country level.
- Ensure compliance with organizational MEAL standards and donor requirements across programme activities.
- Support the coordination of external evaluations, including engagement with consultants and stakeholders.
- Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Certification in MEAL systems, evaluation, or data analysis.
- Certification in project or program management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience in humanitarian contexts and fragile settings.
- Exposure to partner coordination and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Knowledge of Kurdish is a plus
Working Conditions
- Train and support field staff and partners on MEAL tools, data collection methods, and reporting requirements.
- Provide on-the-job coaching to staff and partners to strengthen MEAL practices.
- Supervise enumerators, interns, or small data collection teams.
- Promote consistent application of MEAL standards across field teams.
