We are looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Darwin team. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex and impactful projects across the Northern Territory while working alongside a collaborative team of environmental specialists recognised for technical excellence and outstanding client service.

As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will deliver and manage a diverse portfolio of environmental assessment and management projects. You will provide trusted advice to clients, contribute to business growth, and mentor junior consultants and emerging professionals while working closely with multidisciplinary teams across SLR.

This role is ideal for an experienced consultant looking to further develop their project leadership, client relationship management, and technical expertise within a respected and growing consultancy.

  • Qualifications: A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Planning, or a related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, industry, or government.
  • Environmental Approvals Expertise: Demonstrated experience delivering environmental assessments, regulatory approvals, compliance programs, and environmental management projects.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Northern Territory and Commonwealth environmental legislation, policies, and approval processes.
  • Project Management: Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality technical documentation.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to establish trusted client relationships and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
