About the Organisation

"Be Aware and Share" (BAAS) is an independent Swiss-Greek non-profit organisation that supports people on the move and contributes to their social inclusion. It was founded in 2015 in Basel (Switzerland) and focuses nowadays on supporting refugees, asylum seekers and local vulnerable communities in our community centre in Ioannina, Northern Greece. In addition to material, social, educational and recreational support, BAAS also carries out awareness-raising and information activities in Switzerland. The centre is run by a team of coordinators and volunteers, and exclusively founded by donations. Our work is politically independent.

Minimum Requirements

  • Being able to reside legally in the European Union for the duration of the internship
  • Starting date as soon as possible
  • Minimum commitment of 3 months
  • Very good command in written and verbal English
  • Command of Greek or any other language desired
  • Desired knowledge of the local context, refugee rights and the fundraising market (with willingness to learn)
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Enthusiasm to get involved and partake in required tasks
