Role Summary
Join MANA SCRAP RECYCLING in Los Angeles as a Diesel Mechanic, repairing and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles and equipment with a competitive hourly wage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension, and HVAC components using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other heavy equipment by replacing parts, welding, assembling components, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and electrical diagnostics to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Service and repair farm machinery and industrial equipment to ensure longevity and reliable operation in demanding environments.
- Conduct tire services including mounting, balancing, repairs, and replacements; perform alignment checks to optimize vehicle handling.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; interpret schematics for complex electrical or mechanical systems; follow OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for repairs.
- Support heavy lifting operations safely by utilizing appropriate lifting techniques and equipment; perform welding and soldering tasks as needed for repairs or fabrication projects.
