Role Summary

Join UNOPS as a Senior Advisor for Programme Management to provide expert advice in conflict-affected areas, strengthening engagements with international financial institutions.

Minimum Requirements

Advanced University degree (Masters’ degree or equivalent) preferably in Political Science, International Development, International Relations, International Law, Development Economics or any other relevant field with ten (10) years of relevant experience.

OR

A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) preferably in Political Science, International Development, International Relations, International Law, Development Economics or any other relevant field with twelve (12) years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience working with International Financial Institutions (IFIs), Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), or related financing and partnership frameworks.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning, joint assessments, coordination mechanisms, or partnership processes involving governments, UN entities, and international stakeholders.
  • Experience in strategic and policy advisory to senior leadership and multi-stakeholder platforms.
  • Experience supporting Recovery and Peacebuilding Assessments (RPBAs), Post-Disaster Needs Assessments (PDNAs), PRA/TAA processes, or similar integrated planning and financing frameworks.
  • Experience in innovative financing, blended finance, peace finance, or private sector engagement initiatives.
  • Experience supporting partnerships linked to prevention, recovery, resilience, or peace-positive investment approaches.
  • Experience facilitating collaboration across diverse actors, including governments, UN agencies, donors, IFIs, and private sector stakeholders.
  • Experience integrating gender equality, youth inclusion, human rights, and broader inclusion considerations into planning, programming, or policy processes.
