Key Responsibilities
The Human Rights & Migration legal expert is to support the MiCT Critical Voices Fellowship for Critical Voices which is aimed at media professionals from conflict and crisis regions who share a common value in their professional journalistic integrity. The program is focused on at-risk journalists and media makers from across the globe.
Minimum Requirements
Successful applicants should be able to provide proof of the following:
- Specialist knowledge of migration and human rights law globally
- Extensive experience in developing case files and collecting the necessary information in a sensitive manner
- Familiarity with the specific challenges faced by media makers in the visa and work permit processes is a benefit
- Experience in sensitive handling of personal information
- Flexibility to work across time zones, with translators and through various means of communication
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with strong links to existing global, migration support structures
- Fluency in English is required, working knowledge of other languages spoken in crisis and conflict regions is an asset
