Role Summary
Join the Assistance Coordination Unit as a Peaceful Coexistence and Peacebuilding Advisor in Syria, focusing on youth empowerment and community dialogue.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a suitable work plan to achieve the desired results within the project timeline and allocated budget.
- Prepare training materials, tools, posters, and publications to be used in the required activities.
- Continuously monitor the performance of youth teams and their outputs through ongoing coaching, using appropriate tools to ensure teams fulfill their tasks, correct errors, and address any challenges they may encounter.
- Develop the teams' capacity to implement dialogue activities, ensuring the participation of diverse youth groups and taking into account conflict sensitivities and the need to avoid causing harm.
- Support the teams in analyzing and summarizing the dialogue outcomes.
- Participate in developing and implementing community initiatives stemming from the dialogue sessions, ensuring their alignment with the project's objectives of promoting community trust and building peace.
- Maintain continuous coordination with the project manager.

Minimum Requirements
- Must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Must have at least 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years of experience working with civil society organizations.
- Proven and relevant professional experience in civic education, community dialogue, and confidence-building.
- Good understanding of the humanitarian context, particularly grants related to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
- Good understanding of the Syrian context and knowledge of local community conditions.
- Experience in training and preparing workshops and other required materials.
- Experience in developing and leading strategic plans and facilitating dialogue and discussions.
- Arabic: Native speaker
- English: Excellent
