Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design and analysis efforts for a variety of building types and structural systems.
  • Manage projects and serve as a technical resource for clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Develop and review calculations, engineering reports, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Attend client, architect, and contractor meetings throughout project development and construction.
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field conditions during construction.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of engineering work.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers through technical development and project guidance.
  • Help maintain high standards of technical excellence, responsiveness, and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment focused on problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on building design.
  • Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and other common structural systems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to lead projects while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Experience mentoring, supervising, or leading engineering teams.
  • Client management and business development exposure.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows.
  • Experience with structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, RAM, Tekla Structural Designer, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, or similar platforms.

Working Conditions

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Clemson,SC.
