About the Organisation
ALABARÉ is a charity that provides accommodation and support for individuals
experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges, including armed forces
veterans, young people, adults and those with learning disabilities. ALABARÉ
aims to break the cycle of homelessness by offering safe housing, mental health
support, and pathways to independence. The charity has expanded its services
across the South West and Wales, supporting thousands of people every year.
As a Young Person Support Worker you will provide support and advice around
accommodation, basic life skills, welfare benefits, health and personal issues:
all allowing service users to work towards independent living.
Experience of working with vulnerable young people is essential and you should
be happy working as part of a team or unsupervised and on your own initiative.
Based in Salisbury you should be flexible and able to move between houses as
required to meet the needs of the service.
This is a very rewarding role: where you encourage independence, form trusted
relationships and make a genuine difference in young people’s lives every day.
Car driver essential with access to a road worthy vehicle and business
insurance.
