Role Summary
STOOS Consulting is seeking qualified sectoral technical experts and trainers in the Philippines for upcoming consultancy opportunities across various humanitarian and development sectors.
About the Organisation
Through its network of national and international experts, STOOS supports assignments in areas such as needs assessments, baseline and endline studies, final evaluations, outcome monitoring, technical training, capacity building, qualitative and quantitative research, community consultations, and field monitoring.
- *STOOS Consulting is an international consulting firm specialized in Third-Party Monitoring, MEAL, research and assessments, evaluations, data collection, capacity building, conflict and gender analysis, market systems research, and economic empowerment studies. STOOS works in complex humanitarian and development contexts to produce practical, field-based, and evidence-driven findings that support programme quality, accountability, learning, and decision-making.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates should have relevant professional experience in one or more technical sectors and a strong understanding of the Philippines context, including local institutions, community structures, civil society actors, disaster risk management systems, access dynamics, and humanitarian/development priorities.
Applicants are encouraged to apply if they have worked with UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, local organizations, government partners, donor-funded programmes, academic institutions, consulting firms, or community-based initiatives.
Strong candidates will demonstrate practical experience in training, facilitation, technical advisory work, assessments, monitoring and evaluation, field research, community engagement, or programme implementation.
Knowledge of Do No Harm, safeguarding, PSEA, child protection, gender sensitivity, disability inclusion, ethical research, confidentiality, conflict sensitivity, and accountability to affected populations is highly desirable.
Experience using digital tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, Excel, SPSS, Power BI, NVivo, or similar platforms is considered an asset, depending on the assignment.
