Plan International started working in Egypt in 1981 and has a presence in ten of the 27 governorates in which the country including Greater Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Beheira, Kalyoubia, Damietta, Qena, Assuit and Sohag. Plan international Egypt implements programmes designed to enable communities to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and their families. Plan Egypt’s Country Strategy focuses on five strategic objectives.

Through a five-interconnected, gender transformative and context-fit country objectives, PIE intends along with the various stakeholders at all levels to continue delivering positive and transformative changes so that “Children, especially girls, and young people grow up in an enabling environment, realizing their rights and contributing in both development and humanitarian settings as active agents of change”.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with communities, children, families, sponsored children, and partner organizations.
  • Facilitate community mobilization, consultations, and implementation of programs/projects based on identified community priorities.
  • Document activities, lessons learned, success stories, and provide timely progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate media visibility efforts while ensuring compliance with safeguarding, gender equality, and inclusion standards.
  • Ensure financial compliance, support partner financial management, and strengthen organizational capacity.
  • Deliver capacity-building initiatives, sponsorship awareness sessions, and continuous partner performance support.
  • Conduct field monitoring visits, reflection sessions, and collect data to support learning, reporting, and program improvement.
  • Coordinate with partners, consultants, service providers, government stakeholders, and internal teams for integrated program delivery.
  • Support livelihoods and social entrepreneurship programs within target communities.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, PII/PSEAH, data privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Facilitate implementation of Plan projects in sponsored child (SC) communities in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to meet organizational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Plan International’s Child Protection and Gender Equality policies, including staff awareness and reporting procedures.
  • You will be trusted to take on additional assignments within the scope of work as assigned by your supervisor on need basis.

Minimum Requirements

  • Someone with bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or similar field.
  • Should have at least 3 years sponsorship or development experience with a proven record of success at a similar level preferably in an INGO sector.
  • Should be experienced in planning and facilitating trainings/workshops.
  • Should be experienced in data management systems.
  • Someone experienced in both translation and data entry.
