SARD PROGRAM SUPPORT COORDINATOR

About the Organisation
The Social Association for Relief and Development (SARD) is a humanitarian non-profit agency providing emergency relief, rehabilitation, development assistance and programme services to vulnerable communities across Syria. SARD is an independent, non-political and non-sectarian organisation committed to delivering quality humanitarian and development programmes.
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Coordinator supports the Head of Programmes in coordinating SARD's programme portfolio across Syria, ensuring quality implementation, compliance with donor requirements and effective coordination between programme and support departments.
The Programme Coordinator works under the supervision of the Head of Programmes and works closely with sector coordinators, MEAL, Grants, Finance, Compliance, Logistics and HR.
- Support the Head of Programmes in coordinating programme implementation across all sectors and governorates.
- Follow up programme implementation against approved workplans, budgets and donor requirements.
- Support programme teams in identifying implementation challenges and proposing corrective actions.
- Ensure close coordination with the MEAL Department to monitor project progress and indicators.
- Support compliance with donor regulations and SARD internal procedures in coordination with the Compliance Department.
- Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of programme reports, proposals, assessments and other programme documents.
- Support the development and monitoring of programme implementation trackers and action plans.
- Coordinate closely with Finance and Logistics to ensure timely programme implementation.
- Monitor adherence to procurement, financial and administrative procedures related to programme implementation.
- Maintain regular communication with field teams and undertake field visits to monitor programme implementation and provide technical support.
- Support the preparation of donor visits, audits and monitoring missions.
- Participate in cluster meetings, technical working groups and coordination meetings when requested by the Head of Programmes.
- Maintain effective communication with partners and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Programmes.
Minimum Requirements
- University degree in International Development, Engineering, Social Sciences or another relevant discipline.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience with humanitarian or development organisations.
- Experience in programme coordination, project management and donor-funded programmes.
- Strong understanding of humanitarian programme cycle management.
- Excellent organisational, coordination and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office; experience with Kobo and project management tools is an asset.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have a relevant degree and significant experience in humanitarian or development organizations.
