Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills who can be a team player and solve challenging problems
- Design experience in axial turbomachinery leading various different phases of the design process using different fidelity of the tools such as meanline, 2D analyses, and 3D analyses (e.g., geometry creation, mesh, and execute CFD)
- Proficiency in CAD to support the module integration efforts in the engine
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
- Experience working with engine cycle analysis tools such as NPSS or PyCycle
- Willingness to both speak and listen, to give opinions and receive opinions, to consider all the data, and be part of building the team consensus to move forward
Working Conditions
Actual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package. Other elements may include long-term incentives/equity, flexible PTO, and a suite of progressive benefits designed to support our employees’ well-being and growth.

- P3 Level - Typically 5 - 10 years of experience - Base salary range: $125,000 – $167,500
- P4 Level - Typically 10 - 15 years of experience - Base salary range: $139,000 – $187,000
- P5 Level - Typically 15 + years of experience - Base salary range: $152,500 – $205,000
