Role Summary
Join Solidarités International as a Human Resource Coordinator in Nigeria for a 4-month maternity cover. Contribute to HR leadership and compliance with a focus on humanitarian efforts.
About the Organisation
The HR Coordinator leads the mission's HR function, ensuring effective workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, staff development, employee relations, and HR compliance. The role supports organizational objectives by providing strategic HR leadership, directly managing the coordination HR team and providing technical support to field HR teams.
He/she is the point of reference for the mission, and the link between headquarters and the mission for all matters
relating to Human Resource Management.
- Ensures that HR procedures and individual behaviour are consistent with the local culture
- Helps define Solidarités International’s salary and social policies and their implementation, and assesses the risks associated with changes
- Defines the Country Office’s social protection and ‘duty of care’ policy and is responsible for social welfare
- Updates the Internal Staff Regulations (ISR) and the HR manual in line with changes to the legal framework or evolving understanding of that framework
- Trains teams on SI’s framework documents (Code of Ethics and Conduct, Charter, Internal Regulations, etc.)
- Helps prevent risks and abuse and provides training on whistleblowing procedures.
Working Conditions
- Ensures compliance with recruitment and hiring procedures: validates recruitment needs, job profiles, the selection process, screening and contract formalisation
- Organises, participates in and supervises the recruitment of the Country Office’s management teams
- Facilitates the induction of new recruits by implementing a tailored induction policy
- Ensures that the Country Team uses standard job profiles and reports any requirements for specific job profiles to the HR department at head office
- Informs the various members of the coordination teams about the evaluation methodology, its objectives and purposes, and ensures that it is effectively implemented
- Drives the implementation and improvement of Solidarités International’s training policy and monitors staff development.
