About the Organisation
The accountant contributes to the sound management of financial information by ensuring the accuracy of accounting records, the availability of reliable financial data, and compliance with applicable financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Takes all necessary measures to remain informed of the financial and accounting operations under their responsibility
- Ensures that accounting activities are carried out in accordance with Fondation Hirondelle’s internal procedures and donor requirements.
- Ensures the proper understanding and application of accounting procedures within their area of responsibility and remains informed of relevant financial and regulatory developments.
- Ensures proper management and filing of accounting documentation.
- Informs the Support Services Coordinator of any significant financial issues, discrepancies, or risks identified.
- Organises work effectively, prioritises tasks, and ensures deadlines are met.
- Communicates clearly and shares relevant financial information with colleagues in a timely manner.
- Performs duties with integrity, professionalism, and respect for Fondation Hirondelle’s ethical standards.
- Identifies issues and contributes to the continuous improvement of accounting tools and procedures.
- Collaborates effectively with colleagues and contributes to a positive and professional working environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
