Role Summary
Join 3iS as an Information Management Intern in Ethiopia, where you'll gain hands-on experience in data management and visualization for humanitarian projects.
About the Organisation
3iS is an international non-profit organization that provides information management services to humanitarian and development organizations. 3iS has been working in Ethiopia since 2018, supporting humanitarian partners to improve information management and analysis for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
\- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and consolidating data from various sources.
\- Support the design and maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and other data tools.
\- Ensure the quality and consistency of data for analysis and reporting.
\- Support the production of high-quality infographics, charts, and dashboards to visualize project data.
\- Assist in the creation of interactive data products and reports, ensuring clarity and alignment with 3iS branding.
\- Help design periodic situation reports, factsheets, and summary visuals based on project data.
\- Assist in producing basic maps using GIS tools (e.g., QGIS or ArcGIS) for data visualization and reporting purposes.
\- Support the team with geographic data organization and processing.
\- Help organize and process data for needs assessments and analysis activities.
\- Support the preparation of presentation materials and reports summarizing key findings.
\- Assist in preparing training materials and content for IM training sessions.
\- Support virtual or in-person IM workshops as needed, including note-taking and preparation of materials.
Requirements
- Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Geography, Computer Science, GIS
Eligibility Criteria
Open to applicants in Ethiopia or those currently studying or graduated from relevant fields.
