Role Summary

Islamic Relief is hiring a Case Manager in North-West Syria to provide case management and psychosocial support for survivors of gender-based violence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement case management for survivors of gender-based violence and children, including needs assessments, psychosocial support, development of safety and care plans, follow-up, and referrals.
  • Ensure a survivor-centered approach is applied across all activities, maintaining confidentiality and respecting survivors’ decisions.
  • Coordinate efforts with the psychosocial supporter in the center to ensure integrated service delivery.
  • Supervise individual and group psychosocial support sessions and follow up on related reports.
  • Provide specialized individual services to adolescent girls, women, and children, including assessment, emotional support, and risk awareness.
  • Conduct awareness sessions for women, men, girls, and boys, and develop appropriate session materials.
  • Identify, assess, document, and refer high-risk cases to relevant service providers.
  • Provide information to beneficiaries about available social services and how to access them.
  • Oversee and document case files within the protection information management system, ensuring secure and confidential storage (paper-based or electronic).
  • Contribute to the development of weekly and monthly plans for the technical team, including educational, recreational, and psychosocial activities.
  • Participate in weekly case management meetings and follow up on challenges and achievements.
  • Maintain continuous coordination with other teams and service providers to ensure effective referrals.
  • Provide regular reports to the direct supervisor on activity implementation and case progress.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, and case studies.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of program activities based on field needs.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • A university degree or a diploma from an intermediate institute in social sciences, psychological counseling, or any related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in humanitarian work, particularly in case management, psychosocial support, and protection.
  • Strong knowledge of humanitarian standards and community-based and survivor-centered protection approaches.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
  • Priority will be given to candidates residing in the areas of operation.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates should have a degree in social sciences or related fields, with experience in humanitarian work, particularly in case management and psychosocial support.
