Role Summary
Development Gateway seeks a Senior Program Coordinator in Amman, Jordan, for a significant education program. The role requires in-person collaboration and strong organizational skills.
About the Organisation
Development Gateway: An IREX Venture (DG) is an international non-profit organization that works at the intersection of data, digital systems, and development programming. DG is one of several consortium partners led by IREX implementing the Early Grade Education Activity (EGEA, also known as ASAS) in Jordan, a large-scale and fast-paced education program running from 2023 to 2028.
Within ASAS, DG supports key activities related to information systems, data use, interoperability, governance, analytics, and coordination with universities, consortium members, and government stakeholders in Jordan.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as management, education, social sciences, development studies, information management, business administration, public policy, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in program coordination, operations, administration, or project support, preferably in development, education, or donor-funded programs in Jordan or similar contexts.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple workstreams in parallel in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing vendors, consultants, procurement processes, invoices, and operational logistics.
- Experience producing bilingual project documentation, presentations, and coordination materials.
- Experience coordinating across internal teams and external partners, including remote colleagues and in-country stakeholders.
- Professional fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
- Strong writing, documentation, and presentation skills, with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and time-management skills, with proven ability to track deadlines, follow up consistently, and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and diplomacy skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative and responsive to management direction and team needs.
- Experience working within consortium-based programs or projects involving multiple implementing partners.
- Experience navigating multi-partner compliance requirements (e.g., USAID, IREX, or similar international donors).
- Experience supporting education, digital development, data, or technology-focused programming in Jordan.
- Familiarity with developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its application in the education sector.
- Familiarity with Jordanian institutional stakeholders, including ministries, universities, or education-sector actors.
Working Conditions
The salary range for this position is $23,000 to $29,000, with final compensation based on your skills and experience.
