About the Organisation

We are a small niche residential service for people who have sustained a traumatic brain injury based in Avonhead, Christchurch. We are searching for caring people to join us and help us achieve our vision of enabling people to thrive and have a unique lifestyle of their choice. This role provides a high level of satisfaction, is very autonomous and enables you to make a real difference in people's lives.

  • Must have a full New Zealand driver's license without any restrictions and happy to drive a mobility van
  • Must have the right to legally work in New Zealand without any work restrictions.
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Strong professional boundaries
  • Available to work on a rostered basis, 4 days on and 2 days off.
  • Current vacancies to work either day shifts (6.50am-3pm) or afternoon shifts (2:50pm-11pm). Please advise of your shift pattern preference in your cover letter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing relationships with the people we support, their families and others involved in their lives
  • Supporting residents' rehabilitation and independence
  • Taking people out into the community usually on a one-to-one basis
  • Assisting with personal care needs, including showering, dressing and grooming
  • Administering medication
  • Household management and meal preparation
  • Driving mobility vans
  • Ability to provide clear documentation
