About the Organisation
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental or geological science or engineering.
- Experience in environmental consulting and project management. You should understand current Victorian legislation and have demonstrated experience managing projects to completion, within budget and to a high standard.
- A proven track record of contributing high-quality work, including strong report-writing skills and high computer literacy.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with your team and your clients.
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
- The entitlement to work in Australia as an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen.
- Availability for a start within 1 to 4 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a range of projects, ensuring your clients’ and Project Director’s needs are met, in compliance with Terralis’s quality, health, safety and environmental management systems (the Integrated Management System).
- Design investigation scopes of work for low to medium complexity projects with limited supervision. This includes the preparation, planning and delivery of scientific and engineering fieldwork with limited supervision — including the preparation of health and safety plans, the coordination of equipment and the management of subcontractors as required.
- Supervised contribution to the planning, project management and delivery of large and complex projects.
- Undertake fieldwork, including site inspections and environmental sampling of soil, water, ground gas and groundwater, as well as assisting with a variety of other environmental projects as required.
- Deliver high-quality reports with accurate and well-written technical material that requires limited review, including:
- Undertaking research on relevant legislation and collecting data to inform decision-making and strategies.
- Desktop research and delivery of Preliminary Site Investigations.
- Analysis, interpretation of data and delivery of Detailed Site Investigations.
- Prepare moderate-complexity fee proposals to win work and contribute to the growth and profitability of the company. Support the technical lead on larger and more complex projects and proposals.
- Confident communication and liaison with Project Directors and clients on your projects, to foster relationships and win business.
