Join Lifting Hands International as a Logistics & Facilities Manager to oversee community programs and aid distributions in Greece.
About the Organisation
Lifting Hands International operates a community center in Serres, a small city about an hour away from Thessaloniki in Northern Greece. We work with a population of 1000+ refugees at the local camps, providing regular aid distributions and a range of psychosocial support programs.
Minimum Requirements
- Proactive: Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Humanitarian experience: Previous experience in logistics, aid distribution, or warehouse management
- Problem solving: identify problems and find solutions with limited resources
- Driving requirements: Valid international driver’s license, with the ability to drive manual and a van
- People management: Prior experience leading and managing teams
- Professionalism: Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a large, multicultural team
- Commitment: Minimum six-month
- Language: Fluent in English
- Knowledge of Greek / Arabic / Kurmanji / Farsi / French
- Understanding of key aid distribution principles
- Maintenance or construction skills
- Electrician skills
- Plumbing skills
- Basic knowledge how to fix bikes
- Potential to stay on the team for 6-12 months
Working Conditions
