Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for solving a critical problem: making translation feel effortless and trustworthy for anyone who needs to communicate across languages — whether they're translating a sentence, a document, or their daily work. We expect you to:
- Become an expert on who our users are and what each user group needs, from casual translators to professionals who rely on DeepL every day
- Conduct generative and evaluative user research to define problems and validate solutions
- Gather and evaluate requirements with cross-functional team members
- Communicate design concepts early and often, backed by qualitative insights and quantitative data
- Deliver vibe coded prototypes, final design specifications in Figma and make small code changes in production
- Share the responsibility to maintain and expand the design system
