Role Summary
Join CORE as the Country Representative in Venezuela, leading their strategic response and program growth in crisis-affected communities.
Minimum Requirements
- Significant experience as a senior in-country leader — Country Director, Country Representative, Head of Mission, or equivalent — or as a response lead ready to step into a country leadership role.
- Strong track record in donor engagement, business development, and proposal/concept-note development, with demonstrable funding secured.
- Established relationships across the humanitarian and donor community — e.g., former BHA/USAID, UN agencies, pooled funds, foundations, and INGO peers — strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of humanitarian coordination architecture (clusters, OCHA, Humanitarian Country Team, NGO fora).
- Experience with NGO registration, government relations, and statutory compliance in complex or restricted operating environments.
- Demonstrated accountability for security management and staff duty of care.
- A bachelor’s degree is welcomed but not required; equivalent professional experience is strongly valued.
- Commitment to CORE’s mission and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by crisis-affected populations.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be prepared for rapid mobilization and relocation to Caracas, Venezuela, indicating they need legal work authorization.
