Role Summary
Lutheran World Federation is seeking a Country Director for its Burundi program, open to national and international candidates with work authorization in Burundi.
About the Organisation
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to the Country Program.
Lead implementation and periodic review of the Country Strategy.
Ensure alignment of programmes and operations with LWF strategic priorities.
Promote innovation, accountability, learning and organizational effectiveness.
Lead and support the Country Management Team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity and continuous improvement.
Lead and develop an engaged, diverse and high-performing workforce.
Lead, mentor and supervise senior managers.
Promote a positive, inclusive and high-performing work environment.
Ensure effective performance management and staff development.
Support succession planning and leadership development.
Promote safeguarding, diversity, gender equality and staff wellbeing.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in International Development, Humanitarian Affairs, International
Relations, Public Administration, or related field.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be Burundi nationals or international candidates with permanent residency in Burundi and must have legal authorization to work.
