This opportunity offers the chance to contribute specialist expertise to a major regional skills and training program. Consultants may support country teams, regional teams and the Program Management Unit, working individually or as part of multidisciplinary teams on assignments of varying scope and complexity. Engagements will be issued on an as-needed basis, and no minimum volume of work is guaranteed.
- Degree level qualification in international development, public administration, social sciences, education, business management, finance, procurement, governance, law or a related discipline with experience in a development setting
- Demonstrated experience providing technical advisory services in international development programs preferably in the skills/training sector.
- Experience working in Pacific Island Countries and/or Timor-Leste.
- Experience working with large, complex, regional international development programs
- Experience working for DFAT-funded or managing contractor programs.
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- Excellent report writing, editing and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
