Role Summary
Join Cordaid as a Regional Programme and Humanitarian Manager in Niger, focusing on locally led humanitarian and development initiatives across West Africa.
Minimum Requirements
- You hold a Master’s degree in International Development, Business Administration, Political Science, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in partnership management, humanitarian program development, and capacity sharing in international development or humanitarian organisations.
- Deep knowledge of the humanitarian sector in West Africa and the Central Sahel, including fragile and conflict-affected settings.
- Sound practical expertise in Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS), SPHERE guidelines, cash transfer modalities, and the triple nexus approach.
- Proven track record in resource mobilization, proposal writing, and engaging major institutional donors (ECHO, Dutch donor landscape, UN agencies, DRA).
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and financial management skills, with experience managing multi-country portfolios and project budgets.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and cross-cultural leadership skills, with a service-oriented mindset and a strong commitment to locally led development.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
- Willingness to relocate to Niamey, Niger, with a flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time within the region.
