The MSF movement is built around 5 operational centers supported by 24 sections and offices worldwide. MSF Operational Center Geneva (MSF OCG) is one of these centers.
The mission is to develop and implement MSF Switzerland's organic social media approach for French-speaking audiences, strengthening audience engagement and supporting broader digital supporter journeys. Ensure social media channels contribute to awareness, engagement, advocacy and supporter acquisition through relevant content, community engagement and platform-specific practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the organic social media approach : define and implement the organic social media strategy for French-speaking audiences, ensuring channel priorities, editorial choices and audience engagement support MSF Switzerland's digital engagement objectives.
- Develop and maintain social media standards and playbooks: develop and continuously improve platform-specific playbooks, editorial standards and community engagement practices to ensure consistency, quality and effective use of social media channels.
- Lead social media editorial planning and content adaptation: lead the planning, adaptation and editorial framing of social media content, ensuring messages are relevant, accessible and aligned with audience needs, organisational priorities and platform requirements.
- Monitor and optimise social media performance: in collaboration with the digital analyst, analyse performance data, audience insights and engagement trends to identify opportunities, improve content effectiveness and refine social media approaches.
- Manage and strengthen online communities: manage community engagement across priority social media channels, fostering meaningful interactions and encouraging audiences to take appropriate actions within the broader digital engagement journey.
- Coordinate digital initiatives: coordinate and contribute to digital projects, campaigns and activations, ensuring alignment between social media activities and wider digital communication objectives.
- Contribute to digital innovation and knowledge sharing: identify emerging trends, platform developments and best practices, translating insights into recommendations that enhance digital engagement activities and organisational learning.
- Supervise and support the Digital Engagement Unit intern: supervise, guide and develop the French-speaking Digital Engagement Unit intern, ensuring quality delivery, skill development and alignment with team priorities.
Minimum Requirements
- Education*
- Bachelor's degree in digital communication, digital marketing or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience*
- Experience in digital communication with a focus on social media management.
- Experience developing and implementing organic social media strategies, editorial planning and platform-specific content approaches.
- Experience engaging online audiences and supporting digital engagement objectives.
- Experience contributing to cross-functional projects and campaigns.
- Experience supporting or supervising junior contributors is an asset
- Languages*
- French : fluency.
- English : C1.
- German is an asset (B1).
- Skills/ Technical competencies*
- Knowledge of organic social media management, particularly Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
- Understanding of audience engagement, content performance and social media analytics.
- Understanding of platform trends, content formats and community management practices.
- Awareness of humanitarian communication principles and sensitive operational contexts.
