About the Organisation
DRC manages its operations in Venezuela under the direction of the country office in Caracas and three field offices located in the states of Sucre, Apure, and Zulia. DRC Venezuela implements activities related to protection monitoring, legal assistance, individual protection assistance for people with specific needs (PWSN), information sessions for people of concern (PoC), human trafficking prevention, and food security.
As part of the emergency response to the earthquake that occurred in June 2026, DRC is opening a new implementation office in Caracas, separate from the country office, to address the needs of affected populations. To this end, DRC is seeking a: The Consortium Grants Officer is responsible for supporting the effective grants and contract management of DRC-led or DRC-supported consortium projects in Venezuela, in accordance with donor requirements, consortium agreements and DRC policies and procedures.
- Maintain a consolidated tracker of contractual, programmatic, financial and reporting deliverables required from each consortium member.
- Follow up with consortium members to ensure the timely submission of reports, budgets, forecasts, workplans and supporting documents.
- Review partner submissions against agreed templates, contractual obligations and consortium quality standards.
- Identify incomplete, inconsistent or delayed submissions and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
- Provide practical guidance to consortium members on reporting, proposal-development and documentation requirements.
- Facilitate communication between consortium members and DRC technical or support departments when specialized input is required.
- Monitor recurring challenges affecting partner submissions and propose corrective or capacity-strengthening measures.
- Document agreed actions, responsibilities and deadlines arising from reviews of partner deliverables.
- Ensure that material concerns related to partner performance or compliance are escalated to the Head of Programme.
- Promote transparent and constructive communication when providing feedback to consortium members.
- Contribute to partner performance reviews from a grants-management and compliance perspective.
