Lead Software Engineer
Role Summary
Join Neko Health as a Lead Software Engineer in London, contributing to innovative health tech solutions with an emphasis on preventative care.
About the Organisation
Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear.
In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives.
We use a simplified internal title framework that prioritises clarity over hierarchy, so internal titles may differ from market‑facing role titles. Scope, impact and level of the role are fully aligned and will be clearly discussed throughout the process.
Minimum Requirements
- Full-stack engineer with the depth to lead complex, cross-functional delivery end to end. Stronger on front-end or back-end is fine if you can show how fast you close the gap on your weaker side, including with AI.
- Solid command of architecture and the frameworks you work in: you can explain and defend trade-offs, not assemble AI output blindly.
- Product-minded and customer-driven: a track record of shipping well-rated products with excellent customer experience, and of deciding what to build by talking to customers. You want to be in the room deciding what to build, not just how.
- AI-first in how you work, beyond "I use AI to write code": agentic tooling in your daily workflow, and experience building AI or automation into the product itself.
- A strong communicator who mentors the engineers around you.
