Minimum Requirements
As its main activity, GEG is contracted to conduct monitoring on behalf of government and non-governmental clients. When monitoring humanitarian programs, GEG engages with key stakeholders, including implementing partners, community leadership, and beneficiaries, and then reports back on findings to our clients. These findings facilitate the client’s risk management efforts, assist in adherence compliance requirements, ensures that humanitarian activities are implemented to industry standards while adhering to Do No Harm protocols.
The Field Administrator (FA) will support the GEG field team’s work in Colombia and Venezuela by providing the administrative and operational support for GEG services. The FA will also coordinate with the Field Monitoring Lead (FML) and the Security Coordinator to provide administrative and logistical support for field monitoring visit planning and execution. The FA will manage all GEG office functions, and sub-offices, facilities and related equipment or resources in Colombia.

- Strong understanding of office management and procurement and at least three years’ experience implementing business operations in Colombia
- Experience in managing business operations
- English and Spanish language proficiency
- Strong English writing and editing skills
- Ability to travel within Colombia as required by the job
- Understanding of Colombian administrative systems and protocols related to human resources and business operations
- Possess exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience managing budgets and ensuring financial accountability
- Experience in managing human resources in Colombia
- Experience with traveling in Colombia
- Colombian citizenship

- Previous humanitarian or business work experience, particularly in administration, financial management, human resources, procurement, and logistics
- Be capable of prioritizing tasks and following up on actions without prompting
- 2-5 years of professional office experience in the humanitarian sector
- Experience implementing or monitoring humanitarian or development programs
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances
- Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum supervision
Working Conditions
The FA will be responsible for managing the GEG office, they work primarily in its location. The FA may travel to different sites on an as-needed basis using vehicles provided by GEG or its suppliers. The advisability of safe travel will be determined after consultation with the GEG humanitarian security unit. The FA will adhere to security management directives and policies as advised by these parties.
While performing the duties of this job, the FA is regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The FA is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The FA must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
