Role Summary
Join Specialty Chemical Co. as a Supply Chain and Procurement Associate in Cleveland, TN, to enhance operational efficiency and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Material sourcing of products, including identification and development of potential suppliers with overall target of cost improvement opportunities
- Develop direct relationships with existing suppliers
- Direct coordination of the procurement cycle to fulfill direct delivery customer sale, ensuring material orders are delivered meeting time and cost targets
- Maintain material pricing and communication of pricing to appropriate team members
- Data gathering and communication of material and freight cost impactors to Sales team
- Support department requests from Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Finance as appropriate
- Navigate overlapping tasks to meet time sensitive deadlines
- Ability to identify solutions when presented with evolving challenges with supplier, customer or logistics activities
- Inventory management support
- Utilize multiple communication methods (email, phone, Teams)
Minimum Requirements

- Associates Degree
- 5-7 years’ experience in purchasing or related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Direct experience with ERP systems
- Experience driving to completion multiple priorities in a timely manner
- Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, etc
