The IRC in Italy provides essential safety, empowerment, education, livelihood and health services to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. Our programs operate across Italy, including in Trieste, Milan, Rome, Turin and various locations in Sicily and Calabria, with a strong focus on supporting the most vulnerable populations, such as women and children.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in communication, development communication, social sciences, law, or a related field.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- High proficiency in technology and software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Professional, Google products, social media platforms).
- Proficiency in infographic software and/or experience in graphic design.
- At least 2 years of experience in the field of asylum and migration, media and communications, preferably with an NGO.
- Knowledge of services, procedures, and legal frameworks relevant to the migration and asylum context in Italy.
- Excellent command of Italian and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong collaborator with effective interpersonal and analytical skills, able to work seamlessly across cultures and organizational units.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Genuine commitment to migration, asylum, and protection issues.
- Ability to work remotely as part of a multicultural team distributed across Italy.
